Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 July 2026

This Privacy Policy describes what data the Sentrynel monitoring service (the "Service") processes and why. We collect only what is needed to run the Service.

1. Data we process

Account data: e-mail address, password (stored only as a secure hash), preferred language and timezone.

Service data: the monitors you configure (URLs, hostnames, ports and related settings), check results and response times, incident history, and the notification channels you set up (e.g. e-mail addresses, webhook URLs, chat identifiers).

Technical data: cookies required for signing in (authentication tokens) and for remembering your language, timezone and cookie preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are used only with your explicit consent given via the cookie banner.

2. Purpose

The data is processed solely to provide the Service: running checks, showing statistics, sending the notifications you asked for, and securing your account. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

3. Sharing

Notifications are delivered to the channels you configure (e.g. your e-mail provider, Slack, Discord or Telegram); the content of those messages is therefore shared with the respective provider. If you consent to analytics cookies, usage data is processed by Google (Google Analytics). Infrastructure providers hosting the Service may technically process data on our behalf. We do not share data with anyone else unless required by law.

4. Retention

Raw check results are kept for approximately 30 days; aggregated statistics longer. Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. When your account is deleted, its monitors, history and notification channels are deleted with it.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at info@sentrynel.com. You can delete your monitors and notification channels yourself in the application.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls). No system is perfectly secure, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for damage caused by unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control.

7. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
