These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of the Sentrynel website-monitoring service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Sentrynel periodically checks the availability of endpoints you configure (websites, servers, DNS records and similar) and can send you notifications about detected events. The Service is provided as a convenience tool for informational purposes only.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that any check will run at any particular time, that outages of your systems will be detected at all or reported correctly, or that notifications will be delivered. False positives, false negatives, missed checks and delayed or undelivered notifications may occur and you accept this risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Sentrynel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with the Service - including damages resulting from undetected outages, false alarms, delayed or missing notifications, or unavailability of the Service itself - even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded, the aggregate liability of the operator is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (which, for the free tier, is zero).
You may only monitor endpoints that you own or are authorized to monitor. You are responsible for the configuration of your monitors and notification channels and for keeping your credentials secure.
You must not use the Service to overload third-party systems, to probe systems without authorization, or for any unlawful activity.
We may apply technical limits (number of monitors, check intervals, rate limits) and may adjust them at any time. We may suspend or restrict accounts that abuse the Service or endanger its operation.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice. We may amend these Terms; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
